Day 15!

The healthiest day of the week….

in my opinion! MONDAY!!!  Let me yell that again …. MONDAYYYYYY! I have always loved Mondays.  Really, I know, it’s not the most popular day for some, but since my early years in the fitness industry, Monday was the most EXCITING day.  Why you ask?  Because it was the #1 day of the week for people to keep their workout plans! Health Club owners know this is the day when their facilities are full and fitness programs have the best attendance!  I just couldn’t wait to lead my Monday classes.  Loads of energy …. Everyone with hope for a healthy week ahead … It’s the fresh start that we give ourselves each week!

So, welcome to Monday my friends.  We start new and STRONG.  Remember we have 2 healthy weeks behind us, and this week is going to be a calorie inferno, I promise!

Today’s Assignment

5 Miles
It’s at least a 500 calorie burn.  For many of you it will be an even BIGGER BURN because of the walk boosters or your intensity level.

Do all 5 miles at once or try a 3 & 2 or a 4 & 1 or a 2, 1, 2. Spread out over the day! Why not wear your pedometer and do 2,000 steps – that’s approx. 1 mile.  Do 10,000 steps and you did a full 5 miles!

What you can expect from Fitness Walking after only 14 days ….

  • Instantly, during your first walk, your mood improves!  You know you are doing something good for your life!  You can overcome any setbacks or challenges.  Walking makes you feel that GOOD!
  • After 3-4 days of walking, you will notice more room in your clothes!
  • After 7 days of walking, real changes are happening!  You are burning fat and your muscles feel more toned.  Do you notice that you make healthier choices at mealtime as well?   That’s the POWER OF WALKING!
  • After 14 days, you have lost REAL body fat!  4 – 5 pounds of actual body fat looks like 7 – 10 pounds lost!  That’s the lean muscle taking over.  A more proportioned body is emerging!

This week everything is coming together: the calorie burn and the strength training.  You are more fit.  You have more endurance.  It’s BODY CHANGING!

  • Monday 5 Miles
  • Tuesday Upper Body, Lower Body, and Core Firming
  • Wednesday 1 Mile in the Morning and 1 Mile in the Evening
  • Thursday Upper Body, Lower Body, and Core Firming
  • Friday 5 Miles plus Upper Body Strength Training
  • Saturday 5 Miles plus Lower Body Strength Training
  • Sunday We DID IT!  Enjoy the Holiday, then keep walking with us!

  • Monday 09 November – 4 Miles
  • Tuesday 10  November – Upper Body and Lower Body Firming
  • Wednesday 11 November – 4 Miles
  • Thursday 12 November – 1 Mile plus Upper Body and Lower Body Firming
  • Friday 13 November – 4 Miles
  • Saturday 14 November – 1 Mile plus Upper Body and Lower Body Firming
  • Sunday 15 November – Refresh the Spirit Day…a FIT SPIRIT is part of the plan!
