Walk Star Stu

“WALK like your LIFE depends on it!!!!” … says Super Walker Stu! Read on as Stu tells his amazing story of how he walked, walked, walked to a healthier future!

Meet Stu!

I am 69 years young and very happy I found these programs.

Before!
We are so grateful to hear from Walk Stars such as Stu.  Only nine months ago, he began with 1 and 2 mile walks.  Soon after he began adding 2-pound weights, which increased to 5-pound weights.  He kept at this routine for several months.  Then he found the Four Mile Fat Burner.  This proved to be very challenging… but his reward was so worth it!
After 7 months, I have gone from my starting weight of 288 pounds down to 202 pounds.

Stu is 86 pounds down!

I plan on getting to 195 pounds if it kills me.  If it does, at least they will bury a grateful skinny man.

Sounds like Stu has a great sense of humor, too!  Stu proudly walks between four and six miles a day, seven days a week.  And we are rooting for him to reach his goal!  You must read his story below.  He is so inspiring!

In Stu’s words…

About 9 months ago, I had my 3 month visit to my doctor.  He told me that my blood pressure was totally out of control; that I was on the verge of becoming a stone cold diabetic.  He said that if I did not get serious and lose weight (and he didn’t mean one pound) that frankly he thought I would most likely die within several years or possibly sooner.  Most people would have gotten mad and walked out on that kind of diagnosis, but this doctor scared me right into reality.  I have two children and four grand children that I wanted to be with, so when I got home, I Googled “Exercise DVD’s”, and while looking through them, came upon the Collage Video company.  When I started to look through the videos, I stumbled onto Leslie’s Walk at Home 1 and 2 mile walk. I figured this was for me, as it was for a beginner, and that is what I was as I hadn’t exercised in 30 or so years.

At first everything hurt, but as the days and weeks continued, I became pretty good with that DVD, and noticed my weight going down.  I started at 288 pounds and it seemed I was losing between 2 to 4 pounds a week.

Wow, I thought.

Then my sister, who is into exercise, told me to stop eating processed foods, and throw out the salt bottle, which I did.  I just kept losing.

When I arrived in the 250’s, I needed to find another tape.   I found Leslie’s 4 Mile Fat Burner, which was very challenging, to say the least.  That tape put the word humility back into my vocabulary. Here I am 9 months later, and from doing nothing at all to walking 4 miles a day 7 days a week with a small dumbbell workout, I am now down to 202 with my goal of 195 in plain site.

I am proud of myself for what I have accomplished this past year.

I can honestly say for certain that had I not bought the Walk at Home 1 and 2 mile DVD’s, we would not be having this chat right now.  Leslie is simply wonderful, and she is my daily motivation.  Pretty soon, I will be going into the 5 mile, as I find myself not really sweating very much anymore.  To me, Leslie is my total motivation to carry on with my weight loss.  I have walked off about 80 pounds so far.  My goal that I am trying hard to reach is 195 pounds, which will give me a total of 93 pounds down.  Not too shabby for an old guy.  I don’t believe I have felt this good since I was forty years old.

For all of you out there that may read my story, all I can say is don’t give up on yourself.  You all mean too much to a lot of people, and If I can get turned around with some commitment and some work for 1 hr a day, SO CAN YOU.  Don’t wait until it is too late.  Take action now. If you haven’t already, then stop and buy Leslie’s 4-miler, and walk like your life depended on it. Who knows, folks… it just may.

After!

THANK YOU for motivating others STU … keep walking strong friend!
