As we finish this last week of the Rev Up Your Weight Loss Challenge with iVillage …. here’s what walkers are asking …

Question from walker – Which of the DVD’s would you recommend  while beginning the maintenance program for weight watchers . I use the video’s daily and usually walk 2 miles. Is there a video that would help me pick up the pace?

LS – WOW!!!   … you are at maintenance??? And how fabulous does that feel??? You are so smart to ask for tips to tweak your workouts at this point.  Fighting any muscle loss that could happen from weight loss is really important now!  I would keep the “2 Mile” commitment … it’s SUPER good for calorie burn and all-over body health … but I would add a session of strength training – 2 or 3 times per week.  Keeping muscle conditioned will keep your metabolism from slowing down … and yes you can do this with a boost to the intensity of your walks!
