Welcome to Walk at Home’s – 21 Days before Thanksgiving WALK Challenge!

You can “Walk” along with us using any “type” of Walking that you choose!

Here’s how to follow the challenge! Choose your method of walking, it can be the amazing Walk at Home Videos, or Your Daily Walk APP, or a Treadmill, or just Walk outdoors! You can even count steps or minutes with a watch or “Fit Bit” type device, any way you want to Walk Walk Walk!

BEGINNER’s Memo!
When you are just starting an exercise regime it makes good sense to start with a 5 minute walk, then try a 7 minute walk the next day, then a 10 minute walk … when you can walk continuously for 15 minutes without a break you have hit a marker of endurance! Play our videos and just follow for 5, 7, 10 minutes … until you can complete the full 1 Mile segment. Many of our Miles are 15 minutes including a warm up period and cool down walk.
When you are comfortable with a 1 Mile segment, you’ll be ready to add time or distance (miles) as you enjoy the many many benefits of a strong body!

***Walk at Home’s method of fitness walking is engineered at an average pace of 15 minutes per mile or a speed of 4 Miles per Hour! That’s approximately 140 steps per minute of movement! Beats per minute are our Miles per Hour!

      Dany, you can find many of these videos, or similar ones (you can substitute — if you can’t find a 4-mile walk, for instance, you could do two 2m walks or one 3m and one 1m), on the Walk At Home YouTube page. You can also subscribe to her Daily Walk videos, which will provide you with a neverending supply of ALL her and her team’s videos. Worth the price!

    I am in this challenge I used to walk to get 10000 steps in but in the last year I have gained weight and stopped walking after retiring and started babysitting for my granddaughter I have gotten lazy. I need motivation I am 62 and would love to be around to watch my grandchildren get married. I need to get in shape and not be a type 2 diabetic any longer.

    I’m walking ahead, but still challenging myself. I already have walked the beginning of this month up to Wednesday’s, November 20th Daily Walk, that’s where I left OFF. I am planning to do this entire month, I walk so much, & I continue on until I have completed November Daily Walks. I am still going to be walking after I completed everyone of the Daily Walks For This Month. I am doing my box breathing, Floor Session For Abs, Easy Thigh Slimming, & Power Walk Of 4 Miles, as my regular walking & that’s what I will be doing Monday through Saturday, & taking Sunday’s OFF, that’s my walking goals for the month of November.     I am a current member at Weight Watcher but I need to pick up some added motivation to continue my weight loss journey. I have found out that losing weight is the most difficult challenge that I had every experience. Food is always around and it is used in so many ways to console the soul but that entirely wrong thing to do, so now I am relearning that food is strictly for nourishment and not comfort.

    Thanks so much for the opportunity to do this. Your walks have helped me so much. I will do this challenge and on Thanksgiving Day there is a 1, 2 or 5 mile for Alzheimer’s which me and my husband are going to do. I have been walking daily, except for a few occasions where I was under the weather since 2017 and am still going strong. Thanks so much again.

    My walk today was my 13 steep steps in my home. I figure that I could use these because it is so cold outside. I went up and down 15 times. That would be 13 steps times 30 which equals 390 steps. It took me 15 minutes and I was out breath. I need do something like this everyday to get my breathing in order. Thanks so much for the challenge.

    I have accepted the challenge but haven’t been posting. I usually do a three mile walk most days and have been since yesterday. It’s going to be a tough challenge because I see 5 miles on some days. I will not let that discourage me. I am looking forward to the days ahead!
