06 Jan More RESULTS in “less” time!
THURSDAY!!!! Wow … the week is speeding by … it really helps to have a plan to keep the days full …. don’t allow the winter blues to set in …. get up and WALK today!
So glad to get this question – I love to make walks more effective in shorter sessions ….
Question from Boards: Hello Leslie and all!! I have a question.. I started working out to the 3 and 4 mile workouts.. but being that i homeschool 4 children my time is limited. how can I make my 2 mile workout burn alot of calories and benefit me like a 3 or 4 mile workout? can 2.5 weights help? btw I need to lose 100+!! help
Leslie: oooouuu I hear you my friend!!!! … I want to get MORE out of a shorter workout time most days of the week too – it’s usually a Saturday morning when I make time for the long 4 milers!
My fav “Walk Booster” this month is our Walk Belt! It’s a comfortable fitness belt that works 2 ways – it engages more core muscles just by wearing it and then it has resistance bands attached with handles – as your arms move in those big ranges of motion – the resistance gives the upper body muscles a bigger calorie burn and you will see great sculpting of the arms and upper body after just a few weeks!!!! See shop.walkathome.com for my Walk Booster accessories …. but don’t forget …. you don’t need to purchase a thing …. you can BOOST the calorie burn of any workout by adding short bursts of “Boosted Walking” (my way of saying – gentle jogging) – even 30 SECOND intervals ( 3 or 4 during a 30 min. walk) can have a big impact on your results …. sending you good wishes for good health … hug the kids for me!
The iVillage challenge just started this week … there’s still so much ahead in the next 5 weeks … join us … sign up at www.ivillage.com !
