We hope you are, because we are!  It’s Day One of our Walk It Off: The 12 Days of December Challenge.  With this challenge, you will be walking right, eating right, and, in this joyous month, giving right. How awesome is that?

Today’s Healthy Walk:

3 Miles to Walk Off Breakfast

Choose your favorite 3 mile Walk-At-Home DVD that gets your whole body moving.  We love 3 Fast Miles from the Walk Slim Series!  Or you could do a POWER WALK outside.  Aim for your miles to be under 15 minutes each.  I love the 15-12-14 method: one 15-minute mile, followed by a fast 12-minute mile, and finish with a 14-minute mile!  Write to us on Facebook what your workout will be!

Today’s Healthy Eat:

If you’re just reading this and you don’t have overnight oatmeal – do not worry!  Oats on the stove are just as great.  If you need to substitute for any reason, you can use the RealAge Advanced Recipe Search Tool to find other meals, calorie content, and allergy information.  Click here to check it out!

For you: Start a Journal.

For others: One Random Act of Kindness.

Keeping a journal is a fantastic way to better understand where you are in your life, set new goals, and then work towards these goals!  Here’s a suggestion: what kind act can you do for yourself today?  Also, what kind act will you do for a stranger today?  Write it down, and then DO IT!
