DAY 5!

TGIF.  HAPPY FRIDAY Friends!

Ending a busy week feels so good. Even if you work, or have a big schedule for the weekend, don’t you just feel a bit relieved?  Me too.  Let’s make it a great weekend as well, by planning some type of activity for Sunday.  Even during a challenge that’s intended to be short term but very focused, Sundays should be a day to refresh (or the day of your choice during the week).  Make some calls today: ask a friend or family member for some suggestions on what to do that is completely different from a structured exercise session.  Planning a new activity for the weekend is a gift to your strong body!

Just asking for suggestions almost always uncovers something new …. Walk through a museum, swing on a swing at the park, and if it really makes you feel good, go ahead and do something around your home: organize your closets, basement, storage areas, etc.  On Sundays, I make it a rule to refresh myself for a new week.  I walk right past the pile of laundry and the dusty shelves.  Those things will always be there waiting for me.  But Sunday is precious to my soul, and after a full week of responsibilities, we all need a day to completely refresh.  Don’t you love to hit the refresh button on your computer?  It’s a healthy thing for technology.  Can you imagine how potent it is for humans?

Assignment – Day 5

Walk 3 Miles! A simple but POWERFUL assignment!  And start planing your refreshing (but active) Sunday!

The Immune BOOSTING powers of fitness walking have long been proven in study after study.  The studies describe the results in medical or clinical terms.  Let me just interpret all that great information my way.  People that fitness walk on a regular basis GET SICK LESS! Less colds, less flu, lower risk of all disease – is it the closest thing to a health miracle or what? Aren’t you proud to be a walker for life? I am!

I am getting so excited for Monday.  Last Monday was OVER-THE-TOP fantastic for me to see all of you buzzing through our Facebook page.  This week I hope it’s OK with you if I stay longer.  It’s too much fun!  I’ll be live at 8:00 PM PM PM ….
